“Do not always insist on having the right of way.
By choosing to disengage and refocus, the Universe works in your favor.”
Curious cyberians wondered what I meant. I don’t know: It is what it is. Oracles only lend voices to diverse deities. Maybe the script speaks to Ndiigbo at some Lagos LCDAs, where changing street names is rife. They now know that it takes a local council chair; elect one and reverse.
Organize, do no agonize!
Another applicable analysis: If President Tinubu appoints Rev. FFK and Reno Nevada O’Mockery to ambassadorial outposts next month, so be it. Don’t engage them. They are cyber-kaput. They will both bow and kowtow to the queen of their favorite bashing bastion: Bianca.
Oh, sweet Universe!
The most questions I got this midweek was the trending and alleged move of Enugu Governor Peter Mbah to the ruling party, APC. Nigerians now care less about party affiliation and slogans because the politicians don’t play by set rules. Still, the people remain severely severed by factors beyond their control: ethnicity, religion, region, gender, class, and even denominations.
Opinions are a waste of energy and time. Mbah has little worries. He is doing well. The opposition is weak. The giant-killing Obidient Movement is in a funky fallow. Besides, thanks to Peter Obi himself, the Movement goes easy in gubernatorial elections, especially on potential performers.
Mbah has not hidden his disenchantment with the national PDP, now trapped and suffocating in the clutch of newly honored Dr. Wike. It will be sad though: the SE-PDP was his platform to reposition. Surrendering to Hope Uzodimma’s harness in SE-APC is a move fraught with potential dangers.
With Minister Uche Nnaji in Uzodimma’s universe, Mbah in APC could not afford to sleep with two eyes closed for many moons… unless, of course, President Tinubu himself declares and decrees an automatic ticket.
Whichever way the pendulum swings, Mbah has delivered hugely on his major promise: innovative disruption. On the add-ons, especially the promise of water within a timeframe, a lot remains to be done. The obstacles are understandable, but ill-explained. The new information commissioner should find a better way to articulate and preserve popular passion until the deed is done. Everything else is embellishment.
