Dear Governor-Elect, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Esq.:

Congratulations to you, Deputy Governor-elect Barrister Ifeanyi Ossai, our Director-General Chief Ikeje Asogwa, and all members of the Council.

We are delighted that you won the elections for the Governor of our beloved Enugu State. On behalf of your constituents in the United States of America, we salute you. Your victory has filled us with joy. Finally, tomorrow is here!

The hard-fought elections have afforded our people the opportunity to interrogate your magnificent manifesto and give you the mandate to execute them to the best of your credible character, competence, commitment, and compassion. Your hard work, honesty, humanity, and humility have made this great achievement possible.

We are hopeful that your tenure will benefit the entire Enugu State as you promised in your acceptance speech. The mission and vision documented in your brilliant manifesto will make Enugu State a regional hub for innovative and disruptive development. Your eminent experiences in entrepreneurship and in government are enough evidence of your ability to design and deliver as promised.

In our communique of February 2, 2023, we reminded you that an overwhelming majority of the Igbo in the USA has family or social contacts in Enugu, the capital of former Eastern Nigeria. Their critical contributions to the development of Enugu State and Nigeria will intensify. We urge you to harness these contributions strategically to create and promote businesses and transfer new knowledge and skills for human capital generation and development.

We hope that you will fulfill your promises and shine brightly in all your noble future endeavors. Again, we wish you good luck and success in the pursuit of progress for all our beloved citizens regardless of race, religion, and region.
